Born in 1999 in Chisinau, Moldova, Serghei's parents moved with him to Germany when he was one year old. Since then, he attended German schools and kindergartens while living in a Russian household and speaking Russian with his parents. The whole family held Moldovan passports until 2015.
His interest in photography started as a child at the age of 10, when he received his first camera for his birthday.
In 2021, he started studying photojournalism and documentary photography at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hannover, Germany.

Serghei's projects focus on themes that deal with the different types and conditions of human life and the identity that comes with it, always with a direct reference to his roots or experiences.
